ARTIST OF THE DAY
Steve Fee

Steve Fee led the Worship band Fee out of Northpoint Church from 2005-2010. Along with serving as a worship pastor for the mega-church outside of Atlanta, GA - the band toured, recorded albums and led youth events around the country. But in 2010, suddenly the band broke up and Steve was removed from his place of leadership in the church.

Steve was caught in the midst of secret sin.  This sin destroyed his family and band - not to mention betraying the trust of his entire community of faith. But like many leaders who have fallen, from the depths of despair - you learn about the true depths of God’s grace.

Single: Grace

ARTIST OF THE DAY
John Waller

John Waller began his career in the 1990s with a Christian rock band called According to John. The Georgia native and wife Josee headed to Colorado after A2J disbanded. There they helped launch Southlink Church. His second music career really took off when his song While I’m Waiting was featured on the soundtrack for the movie Fireproof.

A worship leader, bow tie connoisseur, avid spokesman for adoption and missions work - John Waller has been busier than ever for the last half-decade. Right now he’s raising funds via Kickstarter to record and produce a full-length Christmas album.

ARTIST OF THE DAY
Tricia

Raised in a Christian home, Tricia and her sister Melissa experienced their share of adversity and struggles. When they met Maz Hsu, a singer/musician, the three girls immediately hit it off. All three felt called to create music to inspire teenage girls like themselves, who dealt with depression and insecurity.

Thus Superchick was born. They would go on to rock the world over, win Dove awards and even garner a GRAMMY nod. In between Superchick albums and tours, Tricia and her musician/producer husband Nick Baumhardt (Stellar Kart, FM Static, Thousand Foot Krutch) began to record worship music - and then they began visiting churches to lead worship. It’s become a second calling amidst their busy lives to SLOW DOWN - and simply worship the Lord.

Hobby Lobby: Tricia is also an accomplished makeup artist and clothing designer. You know, when she’s not busy being all musical.

ARTIST OF THE DAY
Lindsay McCaul

Lindsay McCaul was born in Abilene, Texas, but moved to Florida when she was nine. Her family lived so close to the Space Center that she remembers hearing the Shuttle rattle her windows when it launched.

Lindsay would sneak out of bed to turn on her radio and listen to Christian radio late into the night. She'd sing along and worship nearly every night. She started writing songs before she even turned twelve. Songwriting became the filter through which McCaul explored her relationship with God and expressed what He was revealing to her.

Lindsay continued to write after she moved to Chicago to attend Moody Bible Institute, where she studied linguistics with the hope of translating the Bible into foreign languages. A worship pastor at the school signed her up to lead worship in chapel, despite Lindsay's begging to not do it. She faced her fears and flourished. Soon she began leading worship at Chicago’s Harvest Bible Chapel, a 14,000-member church.

Her original songs became favorites with the congregation and began to attract notice outside the church. McCaul’s music came to the attention of industry titans Mark Hall, of Casting Crowns, who invited her on tour with the band; and Jason Ingram, who helped produce her album.

It’s the last week of July - Back To School sales are in full swing - And most importantly, there are only a few days left in National Ice Cream Month!

ARTIST OF THE DAY
No Other Name

Made up of brother/sister duo, Sam and Laura Allen, along with their friend Chad Smith, No Other Name met at a Nashville music conference. There was instant chemistry when the three met - and perfect harmony when they began to sing. During an impromptu singalong at the Ryman Auditorium, the trio realized their ability to harmonize perfectly was something God ordained.

Shortly after forming, No Other Name caught the attention of record executive Mike Curb who tapped them to become part of the Curb Records roster that includes Natalie Grant, Selah and Plumb.

No Other Name draws their name from Acts 4:12, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

Awesomesauce: This Fall No Other Name has partnered with Ringling Bros. Circus to create a Christian music themed circus! They are touring mostly in the South, but maybe they’ll bring this Three Ring Worship Circus up our way soon!
