The Joy Ride

ARTIST OF THE DAY
Aaron Shust

Aaron Shust wrote his first hit songs for his church - never thinking they would be more than a chance to lead his local congregation in worship. My Savior, My God went on to top six different charts at once on its way to becoming the most played song on Christian radio in 2006!

In early 2010 he and his wife made the decision to pull up stakes from Atlanta and move their young family back to Aaron’s Pennsylvania hometown, where he was invited to take on the role of worship leader in the very church he had grown up in. Now they call Pittsburgh “home.” So they could use your prayers...

The past few years have been an emotional roller coaster for the father of three young sons, yet amongst the challenges there have been miracles with each trial and tribulation. Aaron's second son, Nicky, was extremely ill as an infant and then when their third son, Michael was born, they faced a new set of challenges. He had a heart condition and was diagnosed with Down Syndrome.

“I feel like every day is an adventure. Every day presents a challenge. How do we tackle this one? How do we approach this one? The answer is by the grace of God. In everything that comes our way, whenever we start to find ourselves overwhelmed, the mighty hand of God reaches down and picks us up. I feel that. His hand sustains us and we feel very lifted.”
- Aaron Shust

Christmas: This Spring Aaron finished recording his first ever full-length Christmas album, which we’ll get to listen to in just 5 months!
