The Newsboys

The Newsboys were formed in 1985 as "The News" in Queensland, Australia. There are no original members performing in the band's current line-up. But for almost 30 years, they have paved the way for Christian music. Currently the band’s lead singer (their third over the years) is former dcTalk-er Michael Tait.

The band’s latest album is called Restart. Drummer Duncan Phillips says, "This generation has lost its heroes and people to look up to. As a band we want to re-engage our culture and have a real positive effect. I think it’s time that we jumped in not to be apart of it, knowing who we are and having courage to do the great commission."
