The Joy Ride

Hot enough for you? #Sarcasm

ARTIST OF THE DAY
Mandisa

Mandisa was a fan favorite on Season 5 of American Idol, going to the final rounds despite dealing with some harsh words from the judges about her weight. She has discussed at length in her book Idol Eyes: My New Perspective on Faith, Fat & Fame, that those hurtful words cut deeply, causing a lot of pain and embarrassment.

Now with three GRAMMY nominations under her belt, and four full albums breaking the charts in Christian music - Mandisa is showing the world that Christians are real people - with real problems but who have a REAL Savior.

Her Struggle: On the whole weight thing - Mandisa has lost over 100 pounds through diet and exercise!

“A struggle is a struggle, and Jesus is there through it all. He is there in compassion and grace. I have found that what He has spoken to me through these songs has been encouraging and I think that’ll be true for other people who are going through their own hard times,” - Mandisa
